Frequently Asked Questions

Please find below many of the common questions that are asked for weddings & events held as SV Country Events. Have more questions? Always feel free to contact us!

Please see the available dates in our Book a Site Visit tab.

Prior to booking a date, we hope you are able to come out in person to visit the farm. You can request a tour here, however, an in-person tour is not required prior to booking a date. If you are ready to book, please reach out to svcountryevents@gmail.com.

We kindly request that all tours are by appointment only. You can request a tour here.

That is a great question! In general, we believe that the average budget is between $10,000 to $15,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, food, dress, DJ, photographer, etc.).

We have had some creative couples with smaller guest lists host beautiful weddings in the $8,000 to $12,000 range, and we have had several lovely events here spending significantly more than the average.

We request you please choose your own caterer, but NOT the bar service. We provide Smart Serve bartenders dependant on the number of guests at an event.

At SV Country Events we only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple’s event is special and receives our full attention.

Yes. Ramada Hotel is less than 0.5 KM from the venue and offer bulk room rates. We encourage you to reserve a hotel room block early!

We have a limited number of straight tables onsite that can be used for your gift table, head table, etc.

Usually, we have a few extras that can be mixed in with the reception seating, however, the majority of your guests will be seated at round tables.

Unlike many venues, SV Country Events has chosen to limit our total guest capacity to provide a dedicated space as a backup in case of rain under a roof.

This means that in case of the inclement weather, please coordinate with the venue coordinator at the time of the wedding, to bring the chairs from outside of the red barn.

Having a tent is another option depending upon the time of year.

As we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both on-site.

We are dog-friendly, with some stipulations. Dogs are allowed (only with pre-approval by Vivian) at the ceremony and for photos.

Animals, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under roof or near food. Dogs must be on a lease and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom.

We accept e-transfer, cash & cheques.

We do not keep a cancellation waiting list because cancellations are unpredictable. As soon as a date does become available, we post it here.

You will have access to the venue from the Thursday prior to your event. Please contact one of the wedding coordinators to access the property.

Yes. The coordinator will stay with you throughout the duration of your big day. This member of the SV Country Events team is there to help you out however they can (be an extra set of hands decorating, drive you around the farm on our gator to take wedding photos, answer questions from your vendors & direct them as necessary, etc.).

Their goal is to do everything possible to help your day go smoothly and ensure your day is as stress-free as possible!
